Poll: Obama leads McCain among people who don't have pets
Did this headline strike anyone else as really silly? Who cares whether Obamarama or Cheap-talk McCain has a dog or not?
Worse yet it reinforces the continued trivialization of American politics, that somehow whether a candidate has a pet or not is somehow important compared to their positions of issues of value or their past performance or what they might do in the future.
Maybe we need a president that keeps rattlesnakes and lizards, and handles them on a daily basis. That would at least be a useful experience for a politician these days...
